According to the city, anyone who lives or works in Fulda, attends a local school or college or is a member of a Fulda club can take part.

The official kick-off will take place on Sunday, May 17th at Universitätsplatz. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the German Bicycle Museum will provide a special start to the campaign with a mobile show. The exhibition includes “the most beautiful bicycles from all decades”; Visitors can also test out various skill and fun bikes and thus experience the riding experience of the past 200 years – from penny farthings to Cavallo riding bikes.

During the 21 days of action, a varied program with guided bike tours in the region is planned. According to the city, supporters of the city cycling campaign this year include the ADFC, Hessenmobil, the Fulda district and the company BioBreadness. The complete program is available online at www.stadtradeln.de/fulda.

The focus of the nationwide campaign is the idea of participation and climate protection. The aim is to cover as many kilometers as possible by bike and thus set an example for bike-friendly and climate-conscious mobility. As an additional incentive, a bike voucher will be raffled off among all participants, which can be used as a subsidy towards the purchase of a bike or accessories.

Registration is possible until May 17th and throughout the entire promotional period. Those interested can contact: www.stadtradeln.de/registrieren Register – as an individual, in an existing team or with a newly founded team, for example with family, friends or work colleagues. According to the city of Fulda, the easiest way to record the kilometers driven is to use the specially developed city cycling app.
