Autobahn GmbH will probably close the road completely at least once from 11 a.m. The reason: Experts have to check the so-called transitional structures on the viaduct. These flexible components compensate for expansion movements between the road and the bridge structure.
The highway patrol will stop traffic for approximately 20 minutes at a time. According to Autobahn GmbH, single-lane traffic routing past the checkpoint is not possible – legal requirements for occupational safety require appropriate safety distances.
