A major fire raged in an allotment garden in Hanau. The extinguishing work took hours and one firefighter suffered a circulatory collapse.
Hanau – The fire devastated an allotment garden in Hanau on Thursday night (May 14th). According to the police, around eight plots of land at the Alfred Nobel Arch fell victim to the flames. Investigators estimate the material damage at around 100,000 euros.
The emergency services were alerted at around 12:50 a.m. and responded with several vehicles. On site they were confronted with a rapidly spreading flame front. Brisk winds apparently encouraged the fire to spread quickly across the garden plots.

The extinguishing work took hours. The last remaining work could only be completed in the morning. During the operation, a firefighter suffered a circulatory collapse.
Because of the enormous amount of smoke, the police warned the residents of the neighboring residential area using a loudspeaker announcement. They were asked to keep windows and doors closed.
The cause of the fire is still unclear. The criminal police have started an investigation and are asking witnesses who can provide information about how the fire started to call (06181) 100123.
Just recently In addition, an apartment fire in Fulda ended lightly. No one was injured as there were no people in the property. The material damage amounts to 150,000 euros.
