
New village squares and renovated buildings for five districts of Hünfeld. The city council has approved investments of almost 2.7 million euros.
Hünfeld – The city of Hünfeld is planning public projects with a total volume of almost 2.7 million euros within the village development measures in the Hünfeld districts. As Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok (CDU) announced, the city council has now approved a cost and financing plan for this.
The investments will flow into the districts of Großenbach, Mackenzell, Michelsrombach, Roßbach and Rückers. Last year, these five villages were the only ones in the entire Fulda district to be recognized as new funding priorities in the state program for village development.
Hünfeld is investing 2.7 million euros in five districts
This was preceded by an intensive planning process. Together with the citizens and the respective local councils, the city developed a development concept from which the five districts emerged as focal points. In September, in coordination with the village renewal authorities in the Fulda district, a steering group was set up to develop the now approved cost, time and financing plan.
The planned measures are diverse: In Michelsrombach, the square at the Linde is to be redesigned. Großenbach will receive a renovation of the large grotto at the cemetery and an upgraded village square. In Rückers, the plan is to design the square around the church as the center of the town. Roßbach benefits from an upgrade of the Brunnenplatz on Ulsterstrasse and new storage facilities for clubs. In Mackenzell, the Wilm-Hosenfeld-Haus and the rehearsal house on the village square are being renovated and expanded.
In addition to the public volume of measures, private projects within the respective funding areas in the villages are also eligible for funding from the state program.
