
A pedestrian from Schlitz was hit on green light in Fulda. The driver fled. The police are urgently looking for witnesses.
Fulda – On Thursday afternoon (April 16th), a 59-year-old pedestrian from Schlitz suffered injuries Vogelsberg district minor injuries in an accident. According to the East Hesse police headquarters, she wanted to cross Schloßstrasse in Fulda around 4:15 p.m. when the pedestrian traffic light showed “green”.

According to police, a dark vehicle hit her on both legs for reasons that are still unclear. The car was driving on Rabanusstraße towards the city palace and the driver intended to turn right onto Schloßstraße in the center of Fulda.
“The person who caused the accident stopped briefly. But he then continued his journey without fulfilling the obligations of a person involved in the accident,” reported a police spokesman from Fulda. According to officials, the incident caused only minor damage.
The police ask witnesses who observed the accident to contact the East Hesse police headquarters on (0661) 1050 or any other police station. Alternatively, information can also be sent via the online watch at www.polizei.hessen.de be given.
A few days later, a woman in Fulda was hit with a car by her ex-husband and then beaten. The perpetrator is on the run. The police are asking for information from the public. The officers are investigating the case for, among other things, dangerous bodily harm and threats.
