A car break-in in Bad Soden-Salmünster fails thanks to an attentive owner. The perpetrators, two children, fled and left property damage amounting to 300 euros.

Bad Soden-Salmünster – On Tuesday afternoon (April 21st), a car owner in Bad Soden-Salmünster surprised two young people who were fiddling with the door lock of their black Toyota. This was announced by the Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters in Offenbach. According to the police, there was damage to the car amounting to around 300 euros.

“The two boys, aged around 12 to 14, fled after she spoke to the owner of the small car,” reported police spokeswoman Claudia Benneckenstein. One of the boys left on a black bicycle. He was dressed in black, had curly hair and wore a hood over his head.

His companion was dressed, among other things, in a gray training jacket. The police are asking witnesses who have information about the two young people, who are currently unknown, to contact the criminal police in Hanau on telephone number (06181) 100123. Police did not say which street the incident occurred on.

A few days earlier, fraudsters used a perfidious trick to take the debit card from a pensioner in Bad Soden-Salmünster. 2000 euros were then gone. In this case, too, witnesses who can provide relevant information are asked to contact the police on (06181) 100123.
