As the police report, a 48-year-old resident of Hohenlohestraße wanted to drive in the opposite direction from his parking space on the side of the road around 10:25 a.m. While trying to turn around, the man overlooked a 66-year-old motorcyclist from Künzell who was traveling on Hohenlohestraße towards Fulda.

“In order to avoid an accident, the 66-year-old motorcyclist initiated emergency braking, fell and slipped under the Fulda man’s VW,” the statement continues. According to the report, the motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in the accident. The police estimate the damage caused to the vehicles to be at least 1,000 euros.
Meanwhile, a technical defect in an ambulance near Nüsttal caused a rescue helicopter to be alerted. He took a man to hospital with minor injuries after a forestry accident.
