Goosebumps moment on “Let’s Dance”30 points and not only the audience is standing! THIS is how Joel and Malika react to Llambi's standing ovation
What a moment on “Let’s Dance”.
Joel Mattli and Malika Dzumaev not only touch the audience with their contemporary to “Ordinary” by Alex Warren – the jury is also completely thrilled. At the end there is full marks and a standing ovation from all three jurors. Even Joachim Llambi stands up from his seat – a rare sight on “Let’s Dance”. You can see their reaction in the video above.
Joel and Malika overwhelmed by 30 points
When the jury announces its verdict, it quickly becomes clear: this performance was something very special. There are 30 points and self Joachim Llambi can no longer stand it in its place. The audience goes wild. For Joel Mattli this moment is hard to believe. After the points were announced, he said, visibly moved: “What more could you want, right? (…) We are very happy. Definitely.” For him, the key to this performance was to completely immerse himself in the moment. “We let go. We were in the moment. And that was the goal. And it worked. That wasn't a given today.” It is precisely this mix of technology and emotions that ultimately ensures that the couple has the perfect evening.

An emotional dance – also because of Malika’s story
For Malika Dzumaev This dance has a completely different meaning. The professional dancer had to undergo surgery in 2025 because of a herniated disc in her cervical spine. Months of pain, rehabilitation and patience lie behind her. It is all the more emotional for her to be back on the floor. The juror thinks so too Motsi Mabusewho is just happy that Malika has fought back and is doing a fantastic job. “Yes, it was just very, very emotional today,” she describes the moment after the show. A contemporary in particular thrives on showing feelings: “Contemporary is a dance where expression and emotions and feeling come together.”

She was also particularly touched by the jury's reactions: “And I was also very touched by the words from the jury and of course from Motsi.” At the same time, she addressed loving words to her dance partner: “But I'm also very, very, very proud of you for opening up a little more. Because I know what it was like in training and it's just wonderful and we're super grateful that we can dance together.”

The week is also a very special one for Joel Mattli
The week surrounding this performance was also particularly emotional for Joel Mattli. Because: Before that, he was in his hometown of Zurich – for a very nice reason: “Yes, it was a crazy week. Really emotional. Just at home in Zurich. Then my godchild was born.” All these feelings ultimately flow into the dance. And that – obviously with great success.
