A water sports enthusiast discovered a lifeless body floating in the Aller in the Hambühren area on Saturday morning around 10:50 a.m., reports the Celle police. He called the police. The 25-year-old is said to have run into the street on the night of March 11th with a serious injury to her neck. Since then there has been no trace of her. A 46-year-old friend alerted the police. Since then, Michelle's friends have been very worried about the young woman.

A possible suicide attempt by the 25-year-old, which the police and public prosecutor's office initially assumed, is still not ruled out. This assumption was based on information from the 46-year-old, who was with the woman in her apartment in Celle before the disappearance, as the spokesman for the public prosecutor's office said.
The body that was found is now being examined to determine the cause of death, but also to be able to say with certainty whether Michelle H. is really dead.
