
An attempt to overtake on the country road between Müs and Bad Salzschlirf ended in a crash. Two vehicles were totaled. The police are investigating what happened in the accident.
Großenlüder – On Friday afternoon (March 6th) a traffic accident occurred on the K112 district road between Großenlüder-Müs and Bad Salzschlirf at around 3:40 p.m. The East Hesse police headquarters in Fulda announced that one person was injured and two vehicles had to be towed away.
Overtaking maneuver on country road near Fulda ends in crash
A 34-year-old man from Bad Salzschlirf was driving his BMW towards Bad Salzschlirf. He was met by a 47-year-old woman from Grebenhain in a Hyundai, a 22-year-old woman from Bad Salzschlirf in a BMW and a 26-year-old man from Bad Salzschlirf in a Ford.
“While the 34-year-old was overtaking, the oncoming Hyundai driver had to brake sharply to avoid a collision,” reported a police spokesman. The BMW driver behind the Hyundai was able to brake in time.
The Ford driver, however, didn't make it in time and crashed into the rear of the 22-year-old's BMW. According to police, one person suffered minor injuries. The material damage to the two vehicles is estimated at 6,000 euros. Both cars were no longer drivable. They had to be towed away.
The investigation into the exact cause of the accident has not yet been completed. Shortly before, an accident with three injuries had occurred on the B27 federal highway near Fulda. Four vehicles were involved in this crash. According to the police, the person who caused the accident left without permission.
