In spring, the leisure facility on the Hünfelder Panoramaring will have a calisthenics area. The magistrate has already awarded the necessary contracts.

Hünfeld – The city of Hünfeld is further upgrading its leisure activities for sports enthusiasts. As the town hall announced, the magistrate has now set the course for the construction of a modern calisthenics facility. In doing so, the city administration is following a recommendation from the Sports Commission and the central objectives of the current sports development plan.

The initiative for the project came, among other things, from the citizens themselves: Hünfeld had young people in several future workshops The desire for such an outdoor fitness park was intensively discussed and supported. Calisthenics is publicly available equipment in which athletes train exclusively with their own body weight. The new facility complements the existing area at the Stadtpanorama, which already has a large playground and a skating rink.

The city is spending money to implement the sports offering: the award price for delivery and construction is around 50,000 euros. The contract was awarded to a company from the region, which will enable prompt implementation next spring.

With this step, the municipality is implementing the test mandate from the sports development plan to establish a corresponding leisure sports facility in the city and to increase its attractiveness for young people.
