The “crime scene” investigator Sibel Kekilli, known for her protected private life, surprisingly reveals a secret: she said “yes”. She shares the good news with her fans on Instagram. A friend of the bride provides further, otherwise strictly private, insights into the celebration.

Sibel Kekilli surprisingly announced her wedding. The award-winning and former “Tatort” actress published an Instagram post in which she shared the beautiful news with a single word. “Mrs.” the 45-year-old wrote about a picture that shows her from behind in a white dress with a short veil in a cinema.

Star hairdresser Jörg Oppermann – a good friend of the bride and apparently also a wedding guest – gave further insights into the celebration in his Instagram story. “I’m so happy for you,” Oppermann wrote alongside a picture in which Kekilli was visibly beaming with happiness. Next to her is apparently her newly wedded husband, whom she actually keeps out of the public eye. In the snapshot, the couple is cutting the multi-tiered wedding cake.

The actress's wedding dress was simple and elegant: long-sleeved, with a deep neckline. Her hair was tied back tightly in a ponytail. Her husband was classically dressed in a dark suit, white shirt and tie.

Numerous congratulations quickly gathered under Kekilli's posting, including from celebrities. Colleague Bettina Zimmermann wrote: “I'm so happy for you, for you! Congratulations!” Singer Cassandra Steen expressed her joy with a series of heart emojis. Presenter Susan Atwell also sent a “Congratulations.”

Sibel Kekilli is one of the most versatile German actresses of her generation. She made her breakthrough in 2004 with Fatih Akin's Berlinale winning film “Against the Wall”. She received the German Film Prize for this role, as well as for “The Stranger” (2010). She was also able to gain a foothold internationally: she played the role of Shae in the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” and thus became known to a worldwide audience. From 2010 to 2017 she was also seen in Kiel's “Tatort”, alongside Axel Milberg.
