According to Joachim Llambi, that was nothing! How Anna-Carina Woitschack deals with the “Let’s Dance” criticism
That hurt!
Anna-Carina Woitschack received a tough jury verdict from Joachim Llambi in “Let's Dance” show 10. But after the criticism, she shows exactly the reaction that ultimately gets her to the semi-finals. We talked to her and dance partner Evgeny about the damper.
Anna-Carina Woitschack receives harsh criticism of Llambi
“I didn't like it at all, to be honest. It wasn't good. Footwork? Not good.” Joachim Llambi needs after Anna-Carina Woitschacks Rumba doesn't take long to get to the point. She dances in show 10 of “Let's Dance”. Evgeny Vinokurov a romantic rumba, but Llambi hardly gets any of it. “Your upper body wasn't permeable to the rumba at all. It was hard.” And further: “That was your weakest performance today since show one.” This sentence fits.
In points that means: Only six out of ten points from Llambi, a total of 22 points from the jury. This means that Anna-Carina's rumba ends up at the bottom of the show rankings in the quarter-finals.
“Of course it made me a little sad”
How do you cope with a judgment like that when you've toiled for days for this exact moment? In the interview, Anna-Carina is honestly depressed, but also reflected: “Well, I think the criticism, of course you accept it, these are three professionals. And if it was like that, then it was like that. Of course it made me a little sad because you train so hard and you want to show it.”

What also counts for dance partner Evgeny is what the two of them achieved in a short time. “So, for the days we had, it was a beautiful rumba. Everything we prepared worked out.” It was simply a bad moment, and that happens sometimes on “Let’s Dance”.

After the low, Anna-Carina is fighting for the semi-finals
But the evening is not over for Anna-Carina yet. In trio dance she gets the chance to get the most out of it again. And that's exactly what she does. After the rumba disappointment, she dances back, gets 25 points in salsa with Evgeny and Ekaterina Leonova and shows that she won't let criticism break her. That's exactly what Motsi Mabuse had asked of her: “You're a fighter! You're the last woman in this round, so let's go. Second dance, just dig in!”

Huge relief for Anna-Carina Woitschack and Evgeny Vinokurov: They are in the semi-finals!

After the show she admits: Her feeling during the trio dance? Almost like a farewell. “I really danced like that. Kind of feels like it's the last dance here.” In the end, Anna-Carina has to shake a lot, but the audience carries her on. She is in the semi-finals and the dream lives on!
