Fulda – A blessing in disguise in a traffic accident in the early hours of the morning: A 19-year-old BMW driver from Fulda escaped with shock and minor injuries on Wednesday (May 20th).
Young BMW driver has an accident while turning in Fulda
The young woman was on Frankfurter Strasse around 4:25 a.m. and wanted to turn right onto Karl-Storch-Strasse in the direction out of town. According to police, she lost control of her vehicle. The BMW skidded and left the road to the right.
The skid ended abruptly at the bridge there, where the car rammed and damaged the bridge railing. For the 19-year-old, the journey ended on site: her BMW was no longer drivable after the impact and had to be picked up by a towing service.
The police estimate the total damage to the vehicle and the bridge structure to be around 6,500 euros.
Just a few days earlier, a BMW driver also had an accident on the A66. The woman was coming from a BMW meeting when the rear tire burst. The highway was temporarily completely closed in the north direction.
