At the Royal Windsor Show, a soldier falls from his horse and sustains fatal injuries. King Charles reacts “shocked and sad” to the tragic incident, reports Sky News.
King Charles 'deeply shocked' after tragedy
During the festivities on Friday evening (May 15th), one of the military riders from the “King's Troop” suddenly falls off his horse and is seriously injured. First aiders rush to the scene immediately and treat him at the scene of the accident outside the arena. But any help comes too late. The soldier loses his life at Windsor Castle, British media confirm.

Charles is “deeply shocked and saddened” by the death, a spokesman tells Sky News. The king wanted to “contact the family to express his personal condolences.” The horse show will take place as planned, but without the performance of The King's Troop.
Death is not being treated as suspicious
The incident is not classified as suspicious, but the course of events remains unclear, according to a statement. Police called on the public to share any information or material such as images and videos of the incident with investigators.
