Hanau – “The mood at the opening of the Heinrich Fischer outdoor pool was great, but unfortunately the weather was a flop. That's why we now want to thank all the guests of the Hanau swimming pools,” announces Hanau's mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri announced a special campaign for the Pentecost weekend in a press release from the Kinzigtal town.
Outdoor pool in Hanau attracts with historic prices at Pentecost
On Whit Sunday (May 24th) and Whit Monday (May 25th), the historic admission prices from the opening year 65 years ago will once again apply to the Heinrich-Fischer-Bad: adults pay 65 cents, children 30 cents. “Many people from Hanau and guests from the region were really looking forward to the reopening of our traditional outdoor swimming pool in the city center,” said Bieri.
And the mayor, who is also chairman of the supervisory board of Hanau Bäder GmbH, continues: “It was canceled due to the weather. Of course not that many people came, so I thought about offering thank you opening prices for two more days.”

The Heinrich-Fischer-Bad is open on Whitsun from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All other opening times and information can be found online hanau-baeder.de. In keeping with the gift, high summer temperatures have been announced for the Pentecost weekend.
Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri will also sit at the checkout at the Heinrich-Fischer-Bad on one of the two days and greet the guests personally. The modernized outdoor swimming pool was ceremoniously reopened on Wednesday (May 13th) after extensive renovation and modernization.

In addition to the renovated historic ten-meter tower, the pool now offers, among other things, a new wide wave slide, a water climbing wall, modern stainless steel pools and a newly designed children's area. Tickets for the Pentecost weekend can only be purchased on site at the box office in Heinrich-Fischer-Bad at Eugen-Kaiser-Straße 19.

Meanwhile, the natural pool in the Spessart village of Mernes starts the bathing season on May 30th. It is open daily from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., during the Hessian summer holidays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
