Bad Soden-Salmünster – In Bad Soden-Salmünster, a senior citizen fell victim to a brazen scam on Monday afternoon (March 23rd), the police said. Unknown people took his debit card from the man and then withdrew 2,000 euros from his account.
The pensioner received a call from what was supposed to be a mail order store at around 3:10 p.m. The caller told him that he had ordered goods that now had to be paid for directly. Just then the senior's doorbell rang. An alleged employee of the mail order store mentioned stood in front of the door, entered and asked for the man's credit card.

In order to pay the supposed bill, the pensioner handed over his debit card. The fraudster then fled and disappeared along Salmünsterer Straße in an unknown direction. Only a short time later, unknown people withdrew 2,000 euros in cash from the victim's account.
