Elaborate search: Car leaves the A7 and ends up in a forest
Since several objects, including a child seat, had been thrown out of the vehicle, it could not initially be ruled out that there were other people in the vehicle. To support the search for people, the drone group of the Oberleichtersbach Volunteer Fire Department was alerted. Fortunately, it was confirmed that no other people were affected.
As the operation continued, an expert was called in to investigate the accident. The A7 in the direction of Würzburg had to be completely closed for several hours while the rescue and recovery work was carried out and the accident was recorded.
There was a serious accident involving a hit-and-run in Kalbach. An Audi overturned and ended up on its roof. The driver fled on foot.
