A scooter driver was slightly injured in a rear-end collision on the B284 in the Rhön at Pentecost.
Hilders – At around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday (May 24th) a traffic accident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Hilders police station, the police said. According to the officials, a 66-year-old man from the Fulda district was driving his moped behind a car that was coming from the Wasserkuppe towards the B278.
Scooter driver crashes into the rear of a turning car in the Rhön
According to the police, the 68-year-old driver from the Wittmund district wanted to turn left towards Beckenmühle when the scooter driver overlooked the turning maneuver and drove into the rear of the car. The man fell and initially remained lying next to the road.
The scooter driver was taken to a nearby hospital by the emergency services for medical evaluation as a precaution. He suffered minor injuries. The driver and his passenger, both from the Wittmund district, were uninjured. The police estimate the property damage at around 2,000 euros.
