
Two walkers overpowered a man in Gelnhausen who is said to have previously attacked and harassed passers-by in a park.
Gelnhausen – On Friday afternoon (April 24th) in Gelnhausen, two attentive walkers stopped a man who is said to have previously attacked several people in a park. The police are now investigating the 31-year-old on suspicion of bodily harm and sexual harassment.
According to current investigations, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. in a park in the area of “Im Ziegelhaus” street. According to the police, the man, who was probably in a psychological state of emergency, initially approached two men sitting on a park bench. He then suddenly hit a 49-year-old with his fist.
Attacks and sexual harassment – walkers intervene
The accused then approached an adolescent and touched her buttocks inappropriately. Two walkers who became aware of what was happening confronted the suspect and held him until the alert patrol arrived. Meanwhile, the 31-year-old is said to have injured one of his detainers with a headbutt.
The police officers temporarily arrested the man. He was subsequently admitted to a clinic. The Gelnhausen police station is asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call (06051) 8270.
