More reader experience through new fonts, new journalistic offerings and a sharper design: The Fuldaer Zeitung and its regional editions have taken a step forward in development and have presented themselves in a new look since April 18th.

Fulda – The central component of the revised design is improving readability: A new font will ensure a calmer, clearer typeface and overall more pleasant reading. The relaunch will also introduce new offers and categories.

“The aim is to respond even more consistently to the expectations of our readership and to sharpen our profile,” explain the editors-in-chief Tobias Farnung and Bernd Loskant. Especially in times when the line between reliable information and mere noise is increasingly blurring, relevant, serious and, above all, classifying journalism is more important than ever. “Analysis and opinion journalism will receive even more space in the future – because good journalism not only reports what happened, but also explains what it means,” says Loskant.

The “We for you” section is established in the local section. “In this way, we underline our claim to be an advocate for our readers and to actively address their concerns,” explains Farnung. In addition, a local opinion page gives voices from the region even more space.

In addition, readers can expect “good news” on the front page in the future. “In a time of often stressful headlines, we would like to set a counterpoint: Good news and encouraging stories from our homeland and the world will be given an even more prominent place in the future,” explains Loskant.

The Fuldaer Zeitung has received several awards in recent years for its innovative concept. for example with the renowned European Newspaper Award. “We want to remain a model of quality journalism – a reliable voice in an increasingly digital media world that is often characterized by speed rather than care,” said the editors-in-chief.

The first reactions on the reader telephone were without exception positive. Numerous callers praised the better readability and the content concept. “It's fun to read this newspaper,” said one reader from Hünfeld.

The Fuldaer Zeitung with its regional editions Hünfelder Zeitung, Kinzigtal Nachrichten and Schlitzer Bote is not only available in print, but also as a copy E-paper.
