
The Alsfeld police are getting a new home. On September 5th, citizens can view the modern new building at an open day.
Alsfeld – The Alsfeld police station and the Vogelsberg Regional Criminal Investigation Department are moving into a modern new building on Liederbacher Straße. From Monday (April 20th) the security operations at the Alsfeld police station will be relocated to the new building complex.
The new property is considered a pioneering example of modern equipment for the police and criminal police. The guard area and police custody as well as interrogation rooms were designed according to current standards and thus meet the requirements of modern and digital police work. According to the police, the new working conditions not only contribute to efficiency, but also to the safety of the emergency services themselves.
Alsfeld police move into new building with modern equipment
Police Chief Michael Tegethoff emphasized: “The new property consolidates the regional presence of the East Hesse police in Vogelsberg and at the same time contributes to professional police work with its modern equipment. This means that my colleagues can continue to ensure the safety of citizens in the region in a future-proof framework.”
During the move between April 20th and 23rd, the police will remain available and able to act at any time. However, there are some restrictions: The old location in the “An der Au” property will be closed for personal appointments from April 20th due to the moving work.

In urgent cases or acute situations, the police can still be reached via the emergency number 110. For less urgent matters, citizens can contact the Alsfeld police station on the well-known telephone number (06631) 9740. For the moving period, especially on April 20th and 21st, the police recommend filing a report via the Online watch. Alternatively, you can visit any other police station.
All citizens are cordially invited to take a look behind the scenes of the new police building on September 5th between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. On the occasion of the ceremonial inauguration, there will be the opportunity to view the modern new building and talk to emergency services. Other blue light organizations will also be represented with a colorful program on the premises on Liederbacher Strasse.
