Fatal train accident between Hanau and Frankfurt: The police publish bicycle photos and ask for information about the previously unknown identity of the victim.
Maintal – The incident occurred last Friday (March 27th) at around 6:45 p.m. on the railway line between Hanau and Frankfurt in the Maintal area. There was a collision between a train and a previously unknown person who died, as the police report. Despite extensive investigations, the police have not yet been able to determine the identity of the victim.
Unknown person hit by train: Police ask for help
Officers found a Hercules bicycle near the scene of the accident. According to investigators, the two-wheeler was probably previously used by the deceased person. There was a pair of gloves in the bike basket.
The police are now asking the public for help and asking: Who can provide information about the bicycle? Who was the two-wheeler used by? Anyone with information is asked to contact the criminal police on (06181) 100123.
A similar accident had already occurred at the end of February: A 47-year-old man was hit by a train on the railway line between Großenlüder and Bimbach. But he was lucky and was taken to hospital with various non-life-threatening injuries.
