The Funtastix from Welkers won the state competition at the “Rendezvous of the Best” with a clear lead. This means that the acrobatic show dance group can now go to the federal competition.

Groups from all over Hesse came together at the Hessian Gymnastics Association (HTV) show competition.
Funtastix take national victory at the “Rendezvous of the Best”
The Funtastix presented themselves in absolute top form with their dance “Barock infernal”. The 35 dancers dominated the competition and left the competition far behind. The group was rewarded for their performance with the highest possible rating of “outstanding” and qualification for the national final on December 5th in Rodalben in Rhineland-Palatinate.
This success represents another milestone in the development of the group, writes the association. With their dance, the girls and young women tell a story: in the glow of candlelight and golden chandeliers, the baroque courtly society gathers for a mysterious ball – and dances for their lives.

The jury will evaluate criteria such as creativity and originality, movement quality and precision as well as expression and overall composition.
