There must have been a lot of noise on Tuesday night when an unknown driver got lost on the site of a sawmill in the Rhön.
Lahrbach – As the police report, the driver drove to the site of the former sawmill in the Lahrbach district of Tann around 12:45 a.m. on the night of Monday to Tuesday (March 31).
Wild twist in the Rhön: Driver hits gate, shelf and wall
And he obviously couldn't find his way down there, or at least the turning maneuver was difficult. The unknown man first drove his car into the locked farm gate. He then backed up, damaging a shelf mounted on the wall and then backed into a hall door. He also damaged this in the process.
However, the unknown person's vehicle was also damaged, the police said. At least the right rear light was damaged and parts of the window were found at the scene of the accident. The taillight could have failed due to the damage.
The police are now looking for the Rumpel driver. He eventually left the sawmill premises, but without caring about the damage caused or informing anyone about it. Anyone who can provide information about the unknown person is asked to call the Hilders police station on (06681) 96120.
The Rhön town of Lahrbach has also made a name for itself because the Rhönklub branch club Lahrbach is considering leaving the main club. The reason is the love of money.
