Philippsthal – In Heimboldshausen, a district of Philippsthal, a cat was injured by a gunshot on Sunday morning (March 29th). According to the police's initial findings, unknown perpetrators probably shot the animal with an air rifle or an air pistol.
Cat with a projectile in the back: unknown people shoot at the animal
The incident occurred between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. During the subsequent examination at a veterinary clinic, a projectile was discovered in the cat's back area.
The Bad Hersfeld police station has started an investigation, among other things on suspicion of a violation of the Animal Welfare Act. The officials are now asking possible witnesses who can provide information about the incident to call (06623) 9370. Any other police station will also accept tips.
Meanwhile, the police in Hanau are dealing with another case: A lifeless person was discovered on company premises. The identity of the dead man is still unclear. Witnesses are asked to contact the police.
