Tiger Woods refuses urine test
US golf star Tiger Woods has been arrested on drug charges after a car accident in the USA. A breath alcohol test showed a value of zero, said John Budensiek from the Martin County Sheriff's Office in Florida at a press conference. But Woods didn't want to take a urine test. Investigators suspect he took “some medication or drug.”

Emergency call: car overturned
Around 2 p.m., police received a call that a car had overturned in the town of Jupiter Island, Florida. According to the sheriff's office, Woods is said to have started driving a Land Rover SUV at high speed to overtake a vehicle that was trying to turn at the same time. Woods' SUV struck the other vehicle's trailer, tipped onto its side and skidded across the road. According to the sheriff, no one was injured in the accident.

Tiger Woods recently fueled rumors of a big comeback
Woods had recently fueled rumors of a comeback at the US Masters in Augusta, which will take place from April 9th. After a long injury break, the 50-year-old caused a stir in the new indoor league Tomorrow's Golf League last Tuesday when he surprisingly hit a few shots there.
Woods made his last major appearance at the British Open in 2024. After tearing his Achilles tendon in spring 2025, he was out for the season – and then had another back operation last fall. “This body… It doesn't recover like it did when I was 24, 25. That doesn't mean I'm not trying,” Woods said. With a view to the US Masters, he added: “I want to play, I love the tournament.” He will definitely be there, said the American. “We'll see how it goes. I'll train at home this week and keep trying to make progress.”
