What a strong signal for the attractiveness of Fulda's city center: several hundred invited guests celebrated the reopening of Fulda's traditional women's fashion store Erna Schneider on Wednesday evening.
Fulda – In a record-breaking time of just six weeks, the sales rooms were completely rebuilt and trimmed for the future: bright materials, an open interior design and digital elements significantly enhance the shopping experience. At the same time, the house, which belongs to the Appelrath-Cüpper family, continues to rely on its core competence: personal advice and selected fashion in the mid- to high-end segment.

The guests – customers, business partners and companions – were thrilled when they toured the rooms. Very few people expected so much new in such a short renovation period. Erna Schneider owner Peter Graf, who runs a small fashion empire with his sons, came specifically from Austria to give the starting signal for another chapter in the history of the traditional house. The Fulda fashion store is almost 90 years old, and the imposing building on Universitätsplatz has always been one of the mainstays in Fulda's city center.
The renovation, which involved high investment costs, is undoubtedly good news for the city. With their commitment to Fulda, the Graf family, which runs around 50 fashion stores in Austria and Germany, shows that they believe in retail, even in medium-sized cities like Fulda, despite all the online competition.
The guests' joy was evident. They curiously inspected the redesigned rooms, were interested in the new range and enjoyed the evening with good music, drinks and snacks.
Another era in Fulda, however, is coming to an end in a few days: The Köhler bed house on Löherstrasse is closing its doors after more than 160 years.
