Podcast at the Fulda Clinic: Two emergency room experts talk about what everyday life between time pressure and triage really looks like.

Fulda – The Fulda Clinic has published a new episode of its in-house podcast. In it, those responsible for the Central Emergency Room (ZNA) report on their work between blue lights and medical logistics.

Anyone who comes to an emergency room usually finds themselves in an exceptional situation. But how do those who work there around the clock experience their everyday work? The current episode of the “Klinikum Fulda Podcast” is dedicated to exactly this question. Tim Muth, administrative head of the ZNA, and ZNA manager Dittmar Happel provide an exclusive look behind the scenes.

Podcast at the Fulda Clinic: Experts provide insights into the emergency room

The two experts explain how primary medical care works under high time pressure and what criteria are used to determine the urgency of treatment. The so-called triage system decides which patients need to be treated first. The role of the emergency coordinator, who acts as an interface in the dynamic events of the emergency room, is also explained in detail below.

Despite the technical depth, the episode remains approachable, according to the hospital statement. Muth and Happel report on personal experiences and, with a wink, take a look into the details of their busy everyday hospital life. In addition to exciting anecdotes, the episode offers a practical benefit: the experts explain when a trip to the emergency room is absolutely necessary and in which cases the on-call medical service or the family doctor would be the right point of contact.

The “Klinikum Fulda Podcast” appears monthly and aims to present medical topics in a transparent and understandable way. The current episode and all previous episodes are below podcast.klinikum-fulda.de as well as available on Spotify and Amazon Music.
