A burning moped on a meadow at the city gate roundabout caused the police and fire brigade to be called into action late on Sunday evening.
Langenselbold – Alarm late Sunday evening (March 22nd): At around 9:43 p.m., emergency services were called to a fire near Emmy-Noether-Straße. When the fire brigade arrived, a moped was already fully engulfed in flames in a green area near the city gate roundabout. The fire department announced this in a press release.

According to their own statement, the emergency services managed to quickly extinguish the burning moped. This prevented the flames from spreading to the surrounding area. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The Langenselbold fire department was on site with a total of two vehicles and twelve emergency services. After around half an hour, the comrades were able to leave again.
After the extinguishing work was completed, the police began an investigation. It is still completely unclear how the vehicle could have caught fire on the meadow. It must now be clarified whether there is a technical defect or arson.
There was also an unusual deployment of the fire brigade in Fulda: A car caught fire in the middle of the city center. The cause was probably a technical defect.
