Timo Lübeck was re-elected as mayor with xx.x percent

He was the only candidate in the race and was confirmed in office with a clear majority: Timo Lübeck (CDU) remains mayor of Haunetal.

Haunetal – In November 2020, the 42-year-old was elected mayor of the municipality of Haunetal for the first time a month later he had taken the executive chair in the town hall. At that time, he replaced his predecessor, the non-party Gerd Lang, after one term in office. He received almost 60 percent of the votes in the election.

Timo Lübeck was re-elected as mayor with 76.75 percent

This time Lübeck was the only candidate, and the voters expressed their trust in him by a large majority: 76.75 percent of the Haunetal residents who found their way to the ballot box voted for him. The incoming results were followed in the Schützenhaus in Stärklos; party colleagues, friends and family from Lübeck had gathered there.

Among the guests were Mayor Dieter Hornung (CDU) from the municipality of Burghaun and state parliament member Stefanie Klee (CDU).

In his home town of Rhina, Timo Lübeck received 80.95 percent yes votes, i.e. more than average. However, the old and new mayor achieved the best result in Schletzenrod, where 96.30 percent of voters voted for him. He received the fewest votes in the combined electoral district of Müsenbach-Meisenbach-Mauers, where only 57.58 percent of voters voted for him. The total voter turnout was 72.45 percent.

The Christian Democrat ran with the slogan “Haunetal can do more”, which relies on constructive cooperation in the local council, which was also re-elected this Sunday. The old and new mayors have big issues for the coming years the areas of drinking and wastewater, the reorganization of the fire departments in the community, child care and the development of residential and commercial buildings.
