A hotel visit in Alsfeld ends in chaos. A tour group suffers from suspected food poisoning. Rescue workers are on a large scale.
Alsfeld – An extensive rescue operation took place in a hotel in Alsfeld early on Sunday morning (March 8th). The control center in the Vogelsberg district triggered the alarm with the operational keyword “Manv 20”, which indicates a mass casualty incident.
Food poisoning in a hotel? Several people in the clinic
According to information from the site near Alsfeld city center, a travel group of around 25 people was affected. There is a suspicion that those affected may be suffering from food poisoning.
A large contingent of emergency services was on site. According to information from the scene, 13 people were apparently taken to a hospital. Numerous ambulances, emergency doctors and the organizational head of the rescue service were on duty in Alsfeld.
Meanwhile, four days earlier A serious accident occurred on the A66 motorway near Fulda. A transport truck crashed into a dump truck. Two people were injured in the accident. The rescue helicopter brought the emergency doctor.
