Milestone for Bad Orb: The spa town in the Main-Kinzig district can continue to call itself a spa for the next ten years, i.e. until at least 2036 – the highest spa resort rating for a health location.
Bad Orb – Bad Orb has once again received the highest health resort rating for a health location. The city can call itself a spa for another ten years. The certificate was officially handed over on Wednesday (March 4th) by the Kassel regional council, as the city in the Main-Kinzig district announced.
Success for Bad Orb: Highest health resort award awarded again
This was made possible by the Investments in the Balnova health center and bathhouse as well as in the location by the Alea Initiative and the honorary citizen Henning Strauss. Bad Orb Kur GmbH also created the basis for re-predication by developing the Leopold spring and the fountain house with brine drinking point.
“Since January, we have been upgrading the spa treatment at the Balnova bathhouse to new quality. We are actively helping to secure our city's spa status in the long term – well beyond ten years. Medical spa, radiology center, physio practice and, in the future, a spa and healing forest: the Bad Orb medical location is a role model for many spa towns and a powerful impulse for the whole Hesse“, said spa visionary Henning Strauss.
In addition to water, the forest also plays a key role in Bad Orb's health spa concept for the future. The overall forest therapeutic concept Cura Silva with a spa and healing forest is intended to provide the city with an additional natural remedy in the future.
“The Orber Forest is a health-promoting green jewel that needs to be developed and preserved for forest therapeutic use,” emphasized forest therapy expert Dr. Gisela Immich, who accompanies the Bad Orber project and prepares the certification of the spa and healing forest.
Future as a spa: Bad Orb combines tradition and modernity
From the health resort scientist’s point of view, the location factor is even more important. The Horstberg could be directly connected to the existing Bad Orbs spa business. Short distances, existing infrastructure and integration into the overall concept of the spa town are given.
“Today, a spa must combine tradition and modernity. The proven brine therapy remains a strong foundation for Bad Orb. Complemented by the Cura Silva spa and healing forest, a holistic, innovative overall concept is created that meets the spirit of the times,” added Immich in recognition of the spa status.
Mayor Tobias Weisbecker and spa director Steffen Kempa invited people to the official ceremony in the foyer of the concert hall on Wednesday evening (March 4th). The rededication by 2036 was celebrated with the magistrate, city councilors and companions.
The Bad Orber spa reclassification for 2036 will start in 2034. Recreation and nature also play a major role in tourism: at the moment East Hesse presents itself at the International Tourism Exchange in Berlinto attract guests from all over the world.
