Above all, it is the death of her husband, the boxing star René Weller, that throws Maria's life out of control. In 2016, the couple took part in the “Summer House of the Stars” together, even though René was already suffering from dementia at that time. Above all, Maria regrets having injected her face with hyaluronic acid. “For 20 years I somehow wore a mask like that, otherwise I wouldn't have done this madness. And now I'm taking it off. And I have the feeling that then I'll be me again,” she explains in an interview with RTL.
