This hits like a BOOOM!
This year Florian Silbereisen will again be hosting two “Schlagerbooom” editions. But the summer hit show as an open-air event must now be postponed, as ARD explains.
“Schlagerboom” with Florian Silbereisen postponed due to football
Although the “Schlagerbooom Open Air 2026” will be recorded on June 5th and 6th in the Austrian stadium in Kitzbühel, the show will not be shown on television until weeks later. A spokeswoman for ARD confirmed this to the Schlager.de portal.
The reason: “Due to the exceptionally high level of interest in the upcoming Football World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada, we are exceptionally and once postponing the broadcast of the 'Schlagerbooom Open Air 2026',” the ARD spokeswoman is quoted as saying. On the day the Schlager show is recorded, the German national team's last friendly match against the USA takes place.
The game can be seen on RTL and RTL+ at 8:15 p.m. A few days later, the Football World Cup officially starts.
