Hubert Fella continues to work on his recovery. Almost a week after his five-hour operation on his head, the reality TV star checked into a rehabilitation clinic in Bad Kissingen, Bavaria – and is taking his fans with him as usual. He showed off his new room on his Instagram page.

“Look at how beautifully everything is prepared,” emphasized Fella in the video, pointing to a bouquet of flowers and the view from the balcony, visibly pleased. “I hope things are looking up again for me,” said the 58-year-old. In the caption, this year's jungle camp candidate continued to rave: “It's beautiful here. The food is super delicious.” He will have to stay in the Bavaria Clinic for “a few days”: “My plan is for three weeks.”

The day before, Fella spoke out for the first time after the procedure. The “Hot or Scrap” protagonist had undergone surgery for cerebral vein thrombosis. The doctor at the Rhön Clinic in Bad Neustadt successfully removed the blood clot and used titanium plates on the back of the head.

Speaking about the procedure, Fella said: “The operation took five hours and he had to do a lot with me in mind.” He was still confident that things were looking up. “If everything is good, everything will be back to normal.”

Hubert Fella was admitted to the clinic on May 20th after suffering from severe attacks of dizziness. Initially there was suspicion of a stroke or heart attack, but neither was confirmed. Only an MRI scan revealed the thrombosis in the head. The jungle camp third place suspects that the thrombosis may have existed since his time in the Australian bush at the beginning of the year.

This is not the first medical setback this year for the husband of reality veteran Matthias Mangiapane: in March he underwent knee surgery, which he had initially postponed because of the jungle camp.
