Several months ago, Collien Fernandes publicly made serious allegations against her ex-partner for the first time. Just a few days later, Christian Ulmen is said to have commented, but publication of the quotes was prohibited.
Planned interview remains unpublished
After serious allegations from Collien Fernandes (44) against her ex-partner first became known in March, the case involving the presenter and actress as well Christian Ulmen (50) caused quite a stir. It is now becoming public that Ulmen is said to have spoken to Time just a few days after it became known. It would have been Ulmen's first public statement, but according to the weekly newspaper, not a single quote was released.

Under the headline “Mr. Ulmen doesn’t want to now,” Die Zeit reports that they spoke with Christian Ulmen for a good five hours and with his lawyer Christian Schertz for around two and a half hours. But you are not allowed to report because you have not received approval. It had previously been agreed that the publication of quotes from the discussions would first have to be approved. Such releases are quite common.

In an Instagram post by Die Zeit on the matter it is explained: “We visited him – but we are not allowed to document his words. (…) We met him at the end of March with his lawyer, the Berlin media lawyer Christian Schertz, in Mallorca, where Ulmen lives. We spoke to the actor for five hours, asking him what he had done. He gave comprehensive answers.” After the interview, however, according to Zeit, there was “a week-long argument about wording”: “And Ulmen and Schertz ultimately took back all the quotes.”

Fernandes accuses her ex-partner of allegedly creating fake profiles on the Internet and spreading pornographic content that was intended to give the impression that it was the 44-year-old. It went public for the first time in a report by Spiegel, which was published online on March 21, 2026.

At the end of May, a spokeswoman for the Potsdam public prosecutor's office confirmed, at the request of the Potsdamer Neuesten Nachrichten, that an investigation had been initiated against Ulmen following a complaint from Fernandes. After examining the information sent by Fernandes, an initial suspicion was based on allegations of bodily harm in the context of domestic violence. These are “several incidents that are said to have occurred in Spain in 2022/2023”. Allegations of “digital violence” are being further investigated. The presumption of innocence applies to elms.
