
300,000 euros in damage is the result of a garbage can fire in Hanau that spread to a daycare center.
Hanau – At around 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening (May 29th) the police and fire brigade were alerted to Hanau's Helmholtzstrasse. Garbage cans on the grounds of the Heinrich Heine School were supposed to burn, according to the police report.

However, the fire quickly spread to the facade and roof of the adjacent daycare center. The rapid intervention of the fire brigade prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings. Nevertheless, there was material damage of around 300,000 euros. According to a police report, no one was injured.
The criminal police have started investigating the cause of the fire. In addition, they are busy the officials reported several fires in garden sheds in Hanau. In the current case there is evidence of arson.
