Fulda's Südend has become a bit more colorful with a special campaign. A work of art has been completed on “Im Fischfeld” street and adorns an entire wall of the house.
Fulda – It was designed by the well-known Fulda resident Artist Ingmar Süß, who around a year ago decorated the Haunestadt's power boxes colorfully with young people from Hünfeld. Süß himself had suggested sprucing up the wall. Since a tree was felled on the undeveloped neighboring property, the bare wall of the house was the first thing that caught the eye in the fish field from the direction of Frankfurter Strasse. Owner Monika Brähler and the Fischfeld neighborhood were immediately enthusiastic about the proposal.

A joint brainstorming session resulted in the perfect motif: a playful representation of the street that reflects the special characteristics of its residents. For example, you can find the “little sister” of the castle tower hood, the bulky waste queen and vintage car beetles, of which there are a few on the street. The logo that the Fischfeld neighborhood created for itself is also immortalized in the picture.
It started on the Pentecost weekend. For four days – sometimes under difficult conditions in the summer heat – Ingmar Süß worked from morning to evening. Because: The work of art should be finished in time for the first Fischfeld street festival, which will be celebrated this Saturday, May 30th, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and to which the whole of Fulda is cordially invited. So all visitors to the street festival can now marvel at it.
The Fischfelders are thrilled with their new work of art. Even in the first few days, pedestrians repeatedly stopped and were visibly impressed. The campaign was funded as part of the urban development funding program.
