Munich – The year 2025 was difficult for Jamal Musiala (23). The football star with Fulda roots, who is at FC Bayern plays, suffered the worst injury of his career at the Club World Cup (fractured fibula and dislocation of the ankle joint). Reason: A motorway accident – which fortunately had no serious consequences.

The accident happened on April 13, 2025, says Florian Lindemann, spokesman for the public prosecutor's office Munich I, upon request. On this day, Palm Sunday, Musiala was on the A8 towards Salzburg at around 2:30 p.m. – on the way to his mother Carolin. According to Lindemann, the national player drove an Audi RS e-tron GT – an electric sports car (around 600 hp or more, depending on the version). Musiala's younger sister was in the car, the spokesman said.

Musiala himself was shocked and immediately contacted the inmates. He is grateful that no one was seriously injured. Property damage: around 200,000 euros.
The accident had consequences for the midfield star: According to Lindemann, at the request of the public prosecutor's office, the Munich district court “issued a now legally binding penalty order on January 28, 2026 against the accused Jamal M. for negligent endangerment of road traffic and negligent bodily harm in two cases.”
According to the public prosecutor's office, Musiala was fined. “In addition, his driving license was revoked,” said Lindemann – according to him, this happened in mid-February. According to Lindemann, Musiala “may not be issued with a new driving license before nine months have elapsed from the time the penalty order becomes legally binding” – i.e. probably not until the fall.
