Overtaking maneuver ends in accident: 60,000 euros in damage on the A7
At around 11 a.m., a 55-year-old Audi driver and a 65-year-old were driving a tractor-trailer on the highway towards Kassel. Shortly behind the Fulda triangle, the Audi driver wanted to overtake the truck. For reasons that are still unclear, he lost control of his car on the wet road.
The vehicle first hit the tractor unit of the tractor-trailer, then skidded and finally collided with the right guard rail, where it came to a stop. Since both vehicles came to a standstill on the hard shoulder, the road remained passable.
Just recently, the southbound lane of the A7 near Fulda was completely closed for a short time. A driver left the road and landed in a ditch.
