
In Altenschlirf, unknown people targeted several cars in one night. The police are asking for information from the public.
Herbstein – The unknown perpetrators tried to break into four cars in the Altenschlirf district of Herbstein. The vehicles were all in the driveways of residential buildings, the police said. The acts occurred between Wednesday evening (May 13th) at 7 p.m. and Thursday morning (May 14th) at 9:30 a.m.
Nightly series of burglaries: Unknown people break into four vehicles
In two of the cars affected, attempts were made to break into them – the perpetrators did not manage to get into the interior. However, they were successful with the other two vehicles and stole cash. The unknown suspects also stole a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from one of the cars. The material damage to the four vehicles amounts to at least 800 euros.
The Lauterbach police station is asking witnesses who made suspicious observations on the night of the crime to call (06641) 9710 or via Online watch to report. In this context, officials once again point out that no valuables should be left in parked vehicles.
Just recently unknown perpetrators also broke into a parked BMW in Fulda during the day. They then withdrew money using an EC card stolen from the car.
