
There was a crash in front of the Lehnerz elementary school on Monday: a driver was taken to the hospital after a collision with another car.
Fulda – Three people were slightly injured in an accident on Leipziger Straße in the Lehnerz district of Fulda on Monday afternoon. As the Fulda control center reported, rescue workers were alerted shortly before 3 p.m.
Crash in front of Lehnerz elementary school – two cars totaled
According to information from reporters on site, in the 30 zone in front of the Lehnerz elementary school, two cars collided sideways in oncoming traffic for reasons that are still unclear. A Seat Leon, in which a 45-year-old woman from the Hersfeld area and her son were sitting, and a VW Polo with a 38-year-old woman from Fulda at the wheel were involved.
Both vehicles were so badly damaged in the accident that they had to be towed away. The driver of the VW Polo was taken to hospital with minor injuries. According to initial findings, the mother and her son were also only slightly injured, but did not have to go to hospital.
While the emergency services and fire brigade were on duty, there were temporary traffic restrictions on Leipziger Strasse.
An incident on the A66 on Sunday evening resulted in much greater traffic restrictions. A car burned in the Neuhof tunnel, causing 80 people to be evacuated.
