The German Weather Service warns of heavy rain in Hesse: Several districts – including in eastern Hesse – are affected.
Fulda – The German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach has issued official warnings about heavy rain. They also affect the Fulda district Main-Kinzig districtthe Vogelsberg and the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district.
Weather service warns of heavy rain and storms in Hesse
The Weather-Warnings are in effect from 4 p.m. on Tuesday (May 5) until Wednesday night. The meteorologists expect heavy rain of level 2 out of 4. Possible dangers include isolated, rapid flooding of streets and underpasses as well as aquaplaning.
In Hesse Shower and thunderstorm activity has been increasing since midday. Storms are also possible locally. The maximum values are between 16 and 21 degrees, with the highest values south of the Main. On Wednesday night (May 6th) it will be overcast and still rainy. Particularly in the north, heavy rain with local storms lasting several hours is forecast.
