From the police perspective, the first five days of the event were peaceful and largely trouble-free. There were a few cases of bodily harm, most of which were related to alcohol consumption. In one case, an emergency service employee was injured in the wrist.

“Visitors mostly behave considerately and responsibly and experience a happy and safe state festival,” says Police Chief Michael Tegethoff. Update from June 17th, 11:15 a.m.: The coming days will be humid and hot, Hessentag visitors should prepare accordingly. It's already relatively humid in Fulda today, even though the temperatures aren't expected to rise above 25 degrees and sun and clouds alternate.

Sporty at the Hessentag: after-work paddling and skate night

After-work paddling is offered at the boathouse at Justus-Schneider-Weg 17. A leisurely boat trip on a calm body of water is a wonderful way to switch off from stress and everyday work.
