The Hesse Day in Fulda continues to be peaceful. The police praised the visitors after the second day.

The second half of the Hessentag in Fulda has begun, and the police are drawing a positive conclusion from the first half. In our ticker we accompany you through the day as usual.

Fulda – +++ 11.32 a.m.: In the morning, the police gave a positive half-time assessment of the Hessentag. From the police perspective, the first five days of the event were peaceful and largely trouble-free. There were a few cases of bodily harm, most of which were related to alcohol consumption. In one case, an emergency service employee was injured in the wrist.

“Visitors mostly behave considerately and responsibly and experience a happy and safe state festival,” says Police Chief Michael Tegethoff. For the second half of Hessentag, the police will continue their commitment unchanged, “to enable a safe, peaceful and successful Hessentag together with everyone involved,” said Tegethoff.

Update from June 17th, 11:15 a.m.: The coming days will be humid and hot, Hessentag visitors should prepare accordingly. It's already relatively humid in Fulda today, even though the temperatures aren't expected to rise above 25 degrees and sun and clouds alternate.

It is important to drink enough in hot temperatures, avoid alcohol as much as possible, wear a hat and wear light clothing. During the hottest hours of the day in the afternoon, you should avoid the sun completely and stay indoors if possible, the Fulda district also advises in a press release.

Sporty at the Hessentag: after-work paddling and skate night

First report from June 17th, 7:02 a.m.: Paddling away from everyday life is what our editorial member Torsten Goßmann recommends today. After-work paddling is offered at the boathouse at Justus-Schneider-Weg 17. A leisurely boat trip on a calm body of water is a wonderful way to switch off from stress and everyday work.

After a proper briefing and safety instructions, we take a safe trip together in a kayak, which is a great way to relax and gain a different perspective. The calm water and the relaxed journey allow you to forget the stress of everyday life. Paddling takes place on June 17th at 4:30 p.m. and a tour lasts about 150 minutes.

And another little bonus tip: If you want a little more action in the evening program Hesse day If you wish, you should stop by Universitätsplatz from 7 p.m. The Funtastix, the acrobatics department of SV Concordia 1921 Welkers, perform there. Then visitors can expect an impressive show with great choreographies and spectacular lifting exercises.

In the Domplatzarena play Roxette in the evening from 7.30 p.m; supported by Isaac. A special “Hessentag Tour” of the Fulda Skate Night starts at 8 p.m. The start is the XXXLutz parking lot on Heidelsteinstrasse. The skate route is approximately 17 kilometers long. The trip is accompanied by the police.
