When the police were called to an apartment in Lac La Belle, Wisconsin, at 6:48 p.m. on April 24, the situation was long out of control. One person lies bleeding on the ground, and a short time later Lukas Rosch is dead.

As the “Milwaukee Journal Sentinel” reports, a dispute over evening plans is said to have escalated. Mikayla Kloth is said to have previously written to her boyfriend that she wanted to go to a bar. According to investigators, the 25-year-old still comes to her apartment with chicken legs and spices to cook with the air fryer.

Then the situation changes. According to an autopsy, Lukas Rosch suffered a single stab wound to the chest. The stab penetrates into the heart. Paramedics took him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m.

27-year-old Mikayla Kloth is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. If convicted, she faces life in prison. According to the report, the court set bail at $2 million. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29.

Lukas Rosch's family speaks of a tragic and senseless loss. His father told the court he was a “broken man.” He hopes that this “beast” will never be released on the streets again.
