For two days, hot cars, great hands-on activities and the local shops attract people to Fulda city center. The outdoor trade fair Fulda.mobil.erleben attracts a lot of visitors to the city.

Fulda – +++ 12.50 p.m.: During the tour, the guests of honor – including District Administrator Bernd Woide, Mayor Dag Wehner, Michael Schmitt, publisher of the Fuldaer Zeitung, and numerous exhibitors – visited the trade fair stand of Autohaus Sorg and Autohaus Nix. Torsten Racky, sales manager at the Sorg car dealership, reported that that due to the increased fuel prices Electric cars have become significantly more popular. “Nine out of ten sales conversations are about electric cars,” emphasizes Racky. However, the company's best-selling car remained the Ford Ranger, which is offered as a combustion engine and plug-in hybrid.

During his explanations, the horn of the Ford Ranger keeps sounding. A little boy has taken a seat behind the steering wheel and is testing the vehicle horn. In general, many families can be seen on the exhibition grounds, which stretch from Bahnhofsstrasse via Universitätsplatz to Unterm Heilig Kreuz. The young guests proudly carry around the prizes they have won and promotional items such as drinking bottles, lanyards and balloons.

The audience is very diverse. Car enthusiasts are out and about, as are strollers and people who actually came to the city center for other reasons. They all stop at the campers, cars, bicycles and motorbikes and marvel at the latest models. In direct conversations with the sales advisors, they receive individual information about the vehicles, but also, for example, about funding opportunities for e-cars.

“Many people look at the vehicles but are not necessarily interested in buying them,” explains Susanne Stevenson from the Nix car dealership. Their goal is primarily to increase awareness of their location in Petersberg. This was achieved brilliantly at the trade fair.

At lunchtime the number of visitors increases significantly. Small queues form at the hands-on stations such as a racing simulator, table football and a scooter course. The weather cooperates, and visitors to the trade fair can explore and experience the diversity of the mobility industry until 6 p.m.

Update from April 18th, 11:38 a.m.: Organizers and guests of honor met at the stand of the e-bike expert e-motion at 11 a.m. There the trade fair was officially opened again before the group set off on a tour of the trade fair grounds.

“We are officially marking the start of a small anniversary here, because we are celebrating five years of fulda.mobil.erleben,” said Fulda’s mayor, Dr. Heiko Wingenfeld in a greeting. “Mobility has many facets, which are reflected at this trade fair. Being able to form an opinion through personal advice is important. I wish all visitors a lot of fun at the trade fair.”

Thomas Kirchhof, deputy publishing director at the Parzeller media group, emphasized the collaboration between two strong partners – the media group and Fulda city marketing. The aim is to “make mobility tangible”. In his welcoming speech, Kirchhof thanked everyone who helped in front of and behind the scenes to put the event together.

e-motion managing director Jochen Heybrock is looking forward to the trade fair days. These are always an opportunity for many interesting and personal conversations with numerous visitors.

The exhibitors not only show the latest campers, motorcycles, bicycles and cars, but have also come up with a lot of ideas for the visitors. Great prizes on the Wheel of Fortune, a Fomel 1® racing simulator, an obstacle course for skateboards and scooters, a bouncy castle, a horizontal bar with a hanging challenge and a craft station provide variety.

In addition, several shops in Fulda city center offer special promotions. So nothing stands in the way of a relaxed shopping trip. There will also be Sunday shopping tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., with many shops in the center of Fulda taking part.

An extraordinary fashion show is also planned for the “Living Showcase” campaign on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Models from the Alt Model School present stylish collections at Crea Time and the Luna Store on Friedrichstrasse.

New products from the world of fashion and mobility can be admired at the outdoor trade fair fulda.mobil.erleben today until 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. On both days of the event, the fair extends from Bahnhofsstrasse via Universitätsplatz, Borgiaplatz and Jesuitenplatz to Unterm Heilig Kreuz. Vehicles are also exhibited in the museum courtyard.

The latest models from well-known brands are presented. A wide variety of vehicles are presented, from trekking bikes with classic drives to e-bikes, cargo bikes, mountain bikes, travel enduro bikes, racing machines and electrically powered cabin scooters, compact cars, sedans, SUVs and racing cars, both with electric, hybrid and conventional drives. Special eye-catchers and vintage cars such as the VW T1 Westfalia camper from 1966 or a converted BMW R18 chopper revive nostalgic feelings.
