
The countdown to the Hessentag concert by Tobias Sammet's Avantasia is underway in the Domplatz Arena: visitors should be prepared for strict security rules and cashless payment.
Fulda – The Fulda musician Tobias Sammet will shake up the Hessentag stage on Tuesday (June 16th) with his metal project Avantasia. Admission starts at around 6.30 p.m., the concert on Cathedral Square is expected to start at 8 p.m.
Tickets are still available at the box office for spontaneous visitors. According to the organizer Provincial Tour, the box office is expected to open at 6:30 p.m. Seated and front-of-stage seats cost 80 euros each, regular standing rooms cost 75 euros each. The entrances and ticket offices are on Johannes-Dyba-Allee and at Paulustor. The entrance for wheelchair users is on Johannes-Dyba-Allee.
Avantasia on Hessentag: Important information for concert goers
Already in 2022 Avantasia provided open air in front of the cathedral for rocking sounds and a good atmosphere. Now Tobias Sammet has another home game.
In order to avoid long waiting times, the organizers ask all concert goers to arrive early. As Province Tour reports, there may be longer queues due to identity checks and the search of all bags. Visitors can help speed things up by bringing only the essentials or forgoing bags altogether.
According to the information, bags and backpacks larger than DIN A4, food and drinks (including small PET bottles) as well as all types of drugs according to the Narcotics Act and cannabis are not allowed to be taken onto the event site. There is a free drinking water station available on site. Weapons and weapon-like objects such as knives or pepper spray, highly flammable or flammable objects, fireworks and pyrotechnics are also prohibited.
Items such as stools, cameras, video and sound recording devices, notebooks and tablets, telescopic poles such as selfie sticks, drones and other flying objects are also prohibited. Disruptive devices such as laser pointers, bicycle or motorcycle helmets, stick umbrellas (smaller children are allowed), flags and posters with extremist or offensive prints, as well as roller blades, skateboards, roller skates, bicycles and animals are also not allowed. According to the organizer, the basic rule is: All objects that pose a danger to visitors, artists and employees or that could cause a risk of accidents are prohibited on the site.
Strict security checks and road closures
Food and drinks are provided by catering partners. As the organizer further announced, this year all partners are relying exclusively on a cashless payment system. Card payments and mobile payment options are accepted; cash payments are not permitted.
Since the concert is part of the… Hesse day If the event takes place in 2026, visitors will have to expect significantly more road closures and fewer parking options in the city center than at Domplatz concerts in previous years. Special regulations apply to children and young people. Children under six years of age are not allowed. Visitors between the ages of six and 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 18 years old. Young people aged 14 to 17 are allowed to attend the concert unaccompanied until midnight.
