
There was a fire in a single-family home in the Vogelsberg district on Easter Monday. Three children were taken to hospital for examination as a precaution. The cause of the fire is still unclear.
Alsfeld – Three children were taken to hospital as a precaution after a fire in a single-family home in the Leusel district of Alsfeld. On Easter Monday (April 6th), the Alsfeld fire department was called to a building fire at around 12.30 p.m. with the alarm keyword “human life in danger”. According to the police, there was a fire on the ground floor of the house with heavy smoke.

When emergency services arrived, all six residents had already left the building. According to emergency services, three adults remained uninjured. Three children between the ages of three and six were taken to hospital for further examinations as a precaution.
There was initially no information available about the cause of the fire or the amount of damage caused. In addition to two Alsfeld police patrols, the rescue service and an emergency doctor were on duty on site. The fire brigades from Alsfeld, Leusel and Angenrod responded to the fire with around 60 emergency services. According to reporters on site, the material damage caused is estimated at around 50,000 euros.
The fire brigade was also called upon the night before in Fulda: Apparently triggered by a technical defect, gas was used in a factory building late on Sunday evening.
