Access to the site is via the entrances on Johannes-Dyba-Allee and at Paulustor – and not in the area of the city palace as in previous years. Wheelchair users with a ticket are asked to use the main entrance on Johannes-Dyba-Allee. Since there is no box office sale, only previously purchased tickets are valid.

Visitors are asked to arrive early as, according to the organizer, there may be longer waiting times due to personal controls. Because all handbags are also searched, guests can help shorten wait times by bringing only the essentials or foregoing bags altogether. Bags and backpacks larger than DIN A4 remain outside.

The following items may not be brought onto the event site:

  • Food and drinks (including small PET bottles)
  • Drugs under the Narcotics Act and cannabis
  • Weapons and weapon-like objects such as knives or pepper spray
  • Pyrotechnic items and highly flammable items.
  • Bulky things such as chairs and stools, cameras and digital cameras, video and sound recording devices, notebooks, tablets, selfie sticks and drones are also prohibited.

According to the organizers, the basic rule is: “All objects that pose a danger to visitors, artists and employees or that could cause a risk of accidents are prohibited on the site.”

Catering partners provide food on site. According to their own information, they rely exclusively on a cashless payment system that enables both card payments and mobile payment options. Visitors should therefore be prepared to pay without cash. A free drinking water station is available on site.

Concerts in the Hessentagsarena: How to get there

Drivers have to expect significantly more road closures and fewer parking options in the city center during Hessentag than during the Domplatz concerts in previous years. The The city has set up large parking areas on the outskirts for Hesse Day. Information about parking spaces and shuttle bus routes is available on the Hessentags website. Parking tickets can be booked online in advance; Disabled parking spaces and bicycle parking spaces are also shown on the plans.

For safety reasons, children under 6 years of age are not allowed, even when accompanied by an adult. Visitors over the age of 6 and under the age of 14 may only attend the concert when accompanied by a parent or guardian (at least 18 years old). According to the organizer, young people between the ages of 14 and 18 can attend the concert until midnight, even without an accompaniment, as pop and music concerts are considered artistic activities and not dance events.
